Pacifica’s management team has been taking the below steps to ensure our operations remain uninterrupted, while safeguarding the safety of our employees and business partners:
We have separated our teams at our two southern Californian locations (headquarters and operations) and have put in place controls to keep these populations of employees separate. The concept is, if one of our headquarters associates becomes impacted, we do not cross contaminate the operations’ team, and vice versa.
We also have employees representing each Department working remotely from home to ensure our company stays fully operational, as all our primary operating systems are hosted in “the cloud”.
We shared and implemented information regarding CDC COVID-19 guidelines, background, symptoms and preventive actions for our offices. Also, sanitizing products were distributed and placed at the offices.
All business travel has been cancelled or postponed to avoid office exposure.
The combination of a specific COVID-19 Business Continuity Plan, remote work capability, and the temporary physical separation of our staff and drivers has been put in place to ensure we can continue to deliver our drayage services to our valued customers.
